About West-Con
West-Con, officially known as Western Consolidated Cooperative, was established in 1983 through the consolidation of grain elevators in Danvers, Holloway, and Appleton, Minnesota. Over the years, the cooperative has expanded its infrastructure and services, including the construction of a 54-car train loading system in Holloway in 1985 and the addition of significant grain storage capacities and fertilizer facilities across various locations. In 2020, Paul Mattson was appointed as General Manager, and in 2021, West-Con partnered with Nutrien Ag for agronomy products. West-Con operates multiple facilities across Minnesota and South Dakota. In Appleton, MN, Terminal A features a 110-car shuttle loader with 3.4 million bushels of storage and access to major railways. The Twin Brooks, SD location includes a grain elevator with 8.3 million bushels of storage and a fertilizer plant with substantial dry and liquid fertilizer capacities. The Holloway, MN site serves as the main office and includes agronomy services.
Through its strategic expansions and partnerships, West-Con continues to support the agricultural community by providing essential services and infrastructure to its members.
