Last week I thought we'd see stable crop ratings; trade expected a 1-point increase in G/E. They were stable. This week the trade expects stable. I expect a 1-point decline. Stable would cause most yield models to go higher since ratings typically decline in July. #corn #oatt

Weather has been pretty good for #CropWatch24 #corn pollination so far, though last week was dry and the same is expected this week. Mild temps should help. Ohio is still drought-y and storm damage from a week ago has surfaced in W IL. At least 15% of corn plants may be broken.

#Corn condition ratings saw a 1-point decline to 67% G/E as I expected, but #soybeans held up better than I expected, remaining at 68%. The net result is that the yield models moved very little from last week's above-trend levels. #oatt
