Meet Lynn Dargis
A farmer, mother, and entrepreneur who built Farmbucks to help farmers make sense of local grain prices and sell with more confidence.
The Farmer Behind Farmbucks
Hi there, my name is Lynn Dargis. I am a farmer, mother, entrepreneur, and the founder of Farmbucks.
I was born and raised on my family’s mixed farm in north-eastern Alberta. I am the second eldest of five girls. Like many farm kids, I grew up doing whatever needed to be done. That meant picking rocks, caring for animals, running tractors, and helping fix machinery. It also meant learning that when something needs to get done, you figure out how to do it.
My parents were strong advocates for agriculture. They taught us the value of hard work, family, and showing up every day. After graduating from Olds College’s Agriculture Production and Management program in 2006, I moved back home to work alongside my parents on the farm. Years later, the Olds College Alumni Association recognized me as a 2020 Hall of Merit inductee.
In the fall of 2007, my parents tragically passed away. I was only 20 years old. In the difficult weeks that followed, I made the decision to continue their legacy and take on the farming operation.
Since then, farming has taught me through many different seasons. I have been through downsizing and upsizing. I have worked with custom feeding, owned cattle, leased land, bought land, and made hard decisions one step at a time.
Today, I own and operate a 4,200-acre grain farm with my husband and our three young children. You can still find me checking crops, operating combines, driving semis, filing paperwork, or feeding kids. Life is busy, but I would not have it any other way.
Farmbucks came from that same hands-on farming experience. I wanted to build something practical for farmers. It is a tool that makes local grain pricing easier to access, easier to compare, and easier to act on.
My goal is simple. I want to help farmers save time, compare more opportunities, and sell their grain with more confidence.

Life on the Farm
Built From Real Farm Experience
Lynn’s experience on the farm shaped the way Farmbucks was built. She understood how time-consuming it could be to compare local grain bids, watch basis levels, and find nearby pricing opportunities. Farmbucks was created to make that process easier, clearer, and more transparent for farmers across Canada and the United States.
